October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While in the past I have been reticent to bring my story to the forefront, facing a possibly life threatening disease changed the trajectory of my life. As my treatment and recovery unfolded, I went deeper into learning, and sometimes unlearning how to “be” instead of how to “do”. What I learned is to live with an attitude of gratitude and grace, it takes a village, and that small is big.
Like so many before me, struggling with (fill in the blank), yoga became my lifeline. In the seventeen years since then, yoga has become my lifestyle, profession, vocation, and passion.
LiveYoga Wellness was created out of this experience. And thanks to your generous support, we continue to come together from our own homes, especially during our current turbulent and uncertain times. One class, one practice at a time.
Before getting a loud message from the universe, or even if you, like me have had one or many messages, each day ask yourself... "What one small sustainable step are you willing to take for positive change?" Let me know how I may support you on your journey.
As Ruth Bader Ginsberg said, “Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.”
